Did You Know?

By Grace Johansen

Standing here were the first teachers and principal for the brand-new Narrowsburg Central School. The school opened its doors to students in 1929. From the left are Mr. Paul, Miss Gain, Miss Voght, Mrs. Alexander, Miss Lennon and Mr. Bradley, the principal. The landscaping had not yet been started.

From the Tusten Historical Society collection. The Tusten Historical Society’s hours at the Western Sullivan Public Library, Tusten-Cochecton branch in Narrowsburg, are Mondays from 1 to 3 p.m., Fridays from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
