Did You Know

By Grace Johansen

Pictured here, circa 1950, is my dad, J. Frank Behling and my husband, Ken Johansen. They were preparing to take off from the Narrowsburg Airport (where Lander’s campground is now located) in my dad’s Piper Cub. My dad looks ready to give Ken a thrilling ride, but Ken looks a bit unsure! Happy Father’s Day to two good men.

The Tusten Historical Society’s hours at the Western Sullivan Public Library, Tusten-Cochecton branch in Narrowsburg, are Mondays from 1 to 3 p.m., Fridays from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
