The Open Your Heart for Local Children toy drives will kick off this Saturday, December 7 at 6 p.m. at the Narrowsburg Inn, and at around 8 p.m. the Santa Express will be arriving. A second event will be held on Wednesday, December 11 at 6 p.m. at Tony’s on the Lake; admission is an unwrapped toy. There are also donation boxes in the Lake Huntington and Narrowsburg post offices, plus a box located in the Sullivan West High School. If you want to make a monetary donation you can send a check to Food Pantry, P.O. Box 54, Narrowsburg, NY 12764. Please put “TOYS” in the memo line.  Read more

It’s a little cold out there. The lawn is covered with snow, the heat is up and the soup is on. It’s during times like this that I wish I were a snow bird going to Florida, but knowing me, I would just complain that it’s too hot. I love to shovel snow, but I hate to drive on the icy roads. Today we worked at the food pantry, putting together 50 Thanksgiving dinners for local families; we could not do it without the support of all of you.  Read more
