LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — The public is invited to “Exploring Owls” on Saturday, November 19, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Morgan Outdoors on Main Street.

Ellen Kalish of Ravensbeard Wildlife Center, along with several owls from the center, will present an interactive program exploring their natural history. Her program will include the story of how each raptor came to Ravensbeard, how important it is to have predators to keep the rodent population at bay and how we can support these amazing nocturnal birds. She will also delve into some of the folklore about owls and what made them the center of ghost stories.

Founded in 2000, Ravensbeard Wildlife Center in Saugerties is a group of licensed wildlife rehabilitators, naturalists and educators who provide medical attention to help injured and orphaned wildlife to return to their natural habitats, and who are committed to building a broader community with respect for all nature.

The program is free, and donations for the center are appreciated. Registration is required. Call Morgan Outdoors at 845/439 5507.
Morgan Outdoors is open on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visit www.morgan-outdoors.com.
