Plein air art show opening

A wine and cheese reception will be held at the Gallery at Chant Realtors LV, 631 Rte. 739, to open the "Plein Air All Seasons" art show and sale, 5-7pm. Show runs through December 27. Night sky and pizza pie

The Catskill Astronomy Club and Morgan Outdoors will host a showing of NOVA's "Monster of the Milky Way" at Morgan Outdoors, 46 Main St., 5:30-7pm. Pizza, salad and soft drinks. Break for questions. Art show opening

The Wurtsboro Art Alliance will open its "Wheels of Color" show with the reception, 2-4pm. Refreshments will be available. Also, the featured artist of the month will be Michael Piotrowski, a longtime favorite and original member of the Alliance. The show will run to Nov. 20.
