Peifer announces veteran’s assistance hours

Bonacic, Gunther respond to casino fee payout

REGION — Sen. John Bonacic and Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther responded positively to the distribution of revenue paid by casino applicants to the state. Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced on June 22 that $30.2 million was paid to 25 municipalities. Sullivan County and the Town of Thompson each received $2.5 million.  Read more

Hurleyville to get new traffic light; The Discovery Center will pick up cost

MONTICELLO, NY — David Fanslau, former Sullivan County manager and now a vice president with the Center for Discovery (CFD), turned out to a meeting of the Sullivan County Legislature on June 16 to ask the lawmakers to allow the center to move forward with its plan for installing a new traffic light in Hurleyville.  Read more

3D Printing for Adults, with Bill Bodell

Learn to design and print objects in 3D in this workshop from 12-2pm. A 3D Printer will be on loan for two weeks at the Western Sullivan Public Library. The printer was recently purchased by the Sullivan County Public Library Alliance for use throughout the county.
