Putting an electric vehicle to the test

CALLICOON CENTER, NY — Bryan Kent is a show-me kind of guy. Now, having been won over by the performance of his electric vehicle, a 2013 Nisson Leaf, he is driving it on an epic road trip covering more than 26,000 miles in about 100 days. Monticello man arrested for child pornography

On August 20, 2015 State Police at Liberty, along with the State Police Computer Crimes Unit arrested Jeremiah Hardy, age 38 of Monticello, NY for possessing images of children involved in sexual acts. These images were stored in various electronic devices owned by Hardy.

Hardy was charged with Possession of a Sexual Performance by a Child, a felony. He was arraigned in the Village of Monticello Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail. State Police were assisted in the investigation by the Sullivan County District Attorney's Office.

Shawangunk woman arrested on multiple counts

The New York State Police in Highland arrestsed 19 year old, Jessica McClintock, of the Town of Shawangunk, NY, for burglary, grand larceny, forgery and possession of a controlled substance.  Read more

Heroin bust in Honesdale

Today, Janine Edwards, Wayne County District Attorney, reported that the Wayne County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force was successful on Saturday, August 22, 2015 in an undercover drug operation that took down 27 year old Luis Polanco-Felipe, AKA “Cuz”, of New York, New York for trafficking heroin in Honesdale.  Read more

Professional uniform sale

Wayne Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will sponsor a professional uniform, shoe and accessory sale in the David Katz Conference Center on the second floor of the hospital, 601 Park St. Wednesday, Sept. 2 from 9am-6pm and Thursday, Sept. 3 from 7am-4pm. Proceeds will benefit the construction of a heliport pad.
