Music inspired by painting

Lotus Labyrinth opens at Woodloch

HAWLEY, PA — A new custom-designed labyrinth will be unveiled at The Lodge at Woodloch during a workshop series with the Veriditas Organization. The labyrinth will offer new programming and a serene location for meditation and relaxation in the arms of the forest. Uniquely designed by Katja Marquart, associate dean and head of interior architecture at the University of Wisconsin, the labyrinth features a lotus flower at the entrance and exit, nine circuits and covers a surface area of over 1,589 square feet.  Read more

Lake Huntington News

On Sunday, May 17 I took Dolores Manaseri and Dotty Schlegel down to Ringwood, NJ to visit Fr. Bill. As I was driving, I was listening to Dotty tell stories about her early life with Woody and all her dogs, and I got very lost. Did You Know?

This lovely old house was the home of Joseph G. Gutheil, who owned the Arlington Hotel on Main Street in Narrowsburg. Gutheil built his home next to the hotel. The house was located directly opposite where the Main Street deck is located. History tells us that Mrs. Gutheil loved the view of the river and so asked her husband to please refrain from building anything there so as not to obstruct the view. Thank you, Mrs. Gutheil! The Arlington is now owned by the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, and the Gutheil house was removed to make room for our present post office in 1964.  Read more

Charles Edward Barnier died Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at his home in Cochecton, NY. He was 71.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 13 at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home in Monticello.
