Laurie Stuart

Laurie Stuart is publisher of The River Reporter and has been with the newspaper since 1977. Her belief that promoting dialogue and engagement can help our communities to shape their own destinies is manifest not only in the newspaper, but also in her community work as convener of the Upper Delaware River Roundtable and minister of the Upper Delaware Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. She has an artistic bent that finds expression in activities including felt-making, song-writing and singing — a range of interests reflected in the breadth of human affairs covered by the newspaper.


Fritz Mayer

Fritz Mayer is Editor. His background in journalism includes 17 years at CNN, where he held various positions including Executive Producer. He moved from Manhattan to Sullivan County full time in 2001. He reported for WVOS FM for four years, where he covered issues of local importance such as the Sullivan County Landfill, the prospect of casinos opening here and the rapid development of the area. Fritz and his wife Anne Hart own The Cutting Garden antiques store and seasonal cutting garden in Youngsville.

Isabel Braverman

Isabel Braverman is the Editorial Assistant. She graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and a minor in dance. She has interned at various media outlets, including GRITtv With Laura Flanders and StyleCaster in New York City, and University Link Magazine in Los Angeles. She has lived in the area for all of her life and loves the small and thriving community, and most importantly, the river that runs through it. Other outlets of artistic expression include ballet, cooking, and whistling.

Jonathan Fox

Jonathan Fox is the Arts and Leisure reporter and updates The River Reporter Facebook page. He currently lives in Sullivan County. Having written for film and television, he now concentrates his efforts on novels, plays and assorted periodicals, along with his weekly "Humble Opinion" column on life in the Catskills.
In between theatre, art and concert reviews, Jonathan can be heard as one of the on-air personalities with “Ciliberto and Friends in the Morning”, on Thunder 102.1 FM. He regularly appeared on popular 80’s shows like “Fame”, “Diffrent Strokes”, “Three’s Company”, “The Jeffersons”and “The Facts of Life.”

Tanya Hubbert

Tanya Hubbert is the Sales Manager for The River Reporter. Previously from the Catskill Shopper, her love of PR and marketing has become her drive to lead her team to success. Tanya is a native to the area. She is a loyal mother of two, a lover of the outdoors and a down to earth country girl. On her down time Tanya can be found running, hosting gatherings and spending time with her family.

Eileen Hennessy

Eileen Hennessy is the Classified Representative and Advertising Consultant. Her interest in people and dedication to helping them is evident in her participation in a number of local organizations including the Tusten Lions and the Cochecton Youth Commission. This same spirit of service and personal engagement informs her work with the individuals and businesses whom she helps to offer their goods and services through The River Reporter.

Production & Design

Amanda Reed

Amanda Reed is the Production Manager. Growing up in the darkroom and production room of The News Eagle gave her a feel for art and design at an early age. Eight years of newspaper design experience in multiple local publications give her designs a hometown feeling. An avid photographer, Amanda can almost always be caught with a camera in hand. When she’s not busy working, she can be found coaching girls softball, being a horse show mom, hanging out with her daughters and racing r/c cars.
